A pity...
Next time you'll see him, please ask him about pics of infos about the Imperious Leader. I'd also pay for them, if they're took me one step further on the way... every bit of information about the Leader is precious to me...
Another fact I want to know: Who we are talking about?
According to my informations, the Imperious Leader costume was, along with a lot of other props and costumes from the original series, part of the collection of Paul Allen... have you talked to him maybe?
Oh, by the way: Here's a nice pic of a small selection of the BSG-props and costumes which were sold during the 16th Hollywood memorabilia auction by Profiles in History... his eminence, our Imperious Leader, is also present in the pic, of course...

Great pic, but note I said (I need to double check) I said former owner. This person no longer has the Imperious Leader costume. This person did at one time own that and most of those costumes that were in that photo. I'll ask, but the chances are slim they have anything, because it was like pulling teeth just to get photos of an item that was for sale, and I don't think that is much to see the item for sale, let alone trying to see a photo of items they no longer have. I'll ask, but I have little hope it getting anything that they aren't selling, let alone no longer own.

Yes, I was wondering about the missing head of Specter (that's the name of the IL-Series Cylon, by the way ), too.
The robe was, along with the Leader costume, on display during the Con-Rad Sci-Fi Convention in 1996. This time complete WITH head.
The Leader also featured a nicely done replica facemask, based on the prototype mask. But in the auction of PiH, there was no sign of it, too.
So what happened to these props???

Hm, that would be difficult...
During filimg of the original series, the IL-Cylons were played by lilliputians. The head and torso was slipped over their heads and they looked through small holes located in the chest.
When a normal sized person wants to carry it, the head has to be the same size as your own, but that would look a little strange I think...
But that's the only idea I have at this moment...
