There was also another "updated" version of the Imperious Leader featured during the "Battle of Galactica" tram ride at the Universal Studios.
Interestingly, the spikes are also present in that incarnation of the Leader...

I've seen that photo once before, that's right, he's got spikes too. Very cool reference.
Do you have anything else in the works on the costume? The robe, etc. Or are you going one item at a time? If that is the case you could at least practice your "Imperious Leader sitting in his chair pose" (arms up - on the high armrests, all evil like

)

Why is the leader a fish?
It ruins the magic for me...

Great photos! You've done a lot of work, it is almost done. Very cool.
I think maybe you could give it a little upgrade - put some padding in the chair, that wouldn

Do you ever plan on wearing the costume? You got to at least once! Take a video waking around, etc. I think your suit, mask and chair will rival if not match the original in quality and detail.
By your command, Imperious Leader.

Yes, I'll wear it in the video which will be made after the costume is completed.
For the rest of the time, it will be mounted on a mannequin on the throne/pedestal display.
Thank you. I hope my replica costume will match the original as close as possible. The likeness of the mask wouldn't be very hard to achieve, because the screen-used one hasn't survived the past 30 yahrens... err... years... the previous owner of the costume should be ashamed of dealing so careless with such an high-priced collectible...
Again, here's what's left of the original facemask so all of you can share my mourning...
