Just a note about the glossy part of the paint finish. The best I can tell that black plastic was used to make the rifle, and it wasn't painted. Also black electrical tape was used to hold the 2 pieces together.

If I make a suggestion Imperious Leader..... (in best Lucifer voice)

If you will mask and paint your rifle in diffrent shades of black - matt on the stock and forearm parts and maybe a satin or gloss - possibly mixed with gunmetal or some of the metalizer paints out there it will make it look more like a real weapon than a lump of plastic.

I did this with my Blaster for my Tie FIghter Pilot get-up and it DRAMATICALLY improves the look of the piece. I also worked in wear spots with an airbrush on mine but I don't know if that would be applical with the Cylon Weapons.

Oh, good idea. Tinman, C.O.R.A. is a member of this board. Look em up and send him a PM.
Back in the spring I contacted C.O.R.A. about the side panel parts and he told me he couldn't even find the mold for them anymore so wasn't currently making any.

Goldcylon, got a few questions...
what is the length of the bayonet?
thickness of the bayonet?
and thickness of the stock, "that square box" and the thickness and length of the "magazine" or handle?

I thought you said in an other thread you needed the panels to complete your rifle. Isn't the rest of this information meaningless if you have the rest of the rifle completed already?
Not that I don't mind sharing, but this information is available in the photo gallery, just at this moment the gallery if going though an upgrade and many of the 10,000 photos are offline till the upgrade is complete. True accurate outlines can be found then. I myself don't even have access to these photos till the upgrade is complete. Maybe if someone else has the photos in their person collection they can share them.

I have my wood cut and laid out and got my rod that I needed, I'm lacking the panels and nozzle.
but before I assemble all the parts I want to make sure I'm right with my math and if someone had measurements I can then check my work, if I'm wrong and I build it and I find out I'm way off I'm going to get ticked off at myself for wasting time and materials.
I tried looking into the photo section 3 days ago but an error page keeps coming up and just tried again same thing.
i'm using firefox as a browser and it keeps giving me that error page.

It isn't your browser, the photo gallery is going though a badly needed upgrade, and has over run the programmer on how many photos to place back up. It took me almost 3 months about 8 hours a day to upload the original amount, so I am sure it will take a while longer since I have expanded the photo count.
Here is a quick not to scale measurement of the rifle.

There was only 1 or two hero rifles with working flash. The photo gallery (when up) has a photo of one of those rifles. Also you can try to search the Profiles images posted by Red Eye. You might be able to find that auction.

Here are the Rifle photos:

If that link fails go to:

Here are the PiH-catalog pages containig the two hero Cylon rifles:

I could also provide better-resoluted scans for the rifles only, if you wish...

One thing about the hero rifles that isn't easy to tell at all unless the rifles are side by side to a back ground rifle. The hero is wider. Not much wider, but back then a battery source to fire the bulb took a lot of power, and what was used was a small motorcycle size type of battery. A extra wide rifle was made to fit over the battery. A very loud pop took place when that xenon set of 4 bulbs fired also. They fire not all at once but just moments apart from each other travel up and in a outward direction inside the clear barrel tubing.

PLEASE DO! Email me them, or post em... whatever works better. I'd LOVE a copy at better resolution :)
