Thanks! I was a little more after just one link. An ultra close up. The ones I saw for sale were square with the corners beveled or cut.
I wanted to be sure the links were in scale.
Yours looks brass.
Is it or is that a painted solution?

The tiny squares are correct for a screen accurate skirting (as pictured below).
The skirt is originally a metal mesh - not a chain mail. I asked a black smith about it at a Renascence Festival and he told me he could make a 2

Have any of you noticed how many lady fashions use this stuff? My fiancee has a neat braclet with this around it and some of my students (I'm a high school teacher) have full purses! SOmetimes the size of the plates are a bit different but sometimes I see that they are right on. These makers of fashion must get this stuff reallly cheap or at least an alternative to it.

3, 5, 6, 8, 10 mm are the size options. I need a measured link size.

Looks like you'll have to go with 3... in the below each mesh square is 2mm

That looks great too me. I tried getting some a couple of years ago but they wouldnt even reply to my emails :frak:

It probably wasnt worth dealing with me and my requirements for such a small chunk of stuff :(
