Thanks reaper....Can any body point me to were I mite find a clear 1 1/2 inch tube.I'm finding that pvc is not the size it says it is.called a fish tank maker.he wanted to sell me a three foot long peace of acrylic tube the right size for forty something bucks.dont realy want to spend that much.any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.would like to go somewhere in town to go get it.i hate waiting for anything.....

I have researched it before, but try Google or places near the entertainment areas. That part of the country seems to have more stuff than anyplace else because of the sources needed to make the sets, props, and the what evers.

So the right size is 3 feet long?

no the right size would be 1 1/2 diameter.and about 13 inches long..look at the gun scale you made.or were you pulling my leg before Christmas. Santa wont like that... hohoho

OH I didn't think to look at the image I made with all the measurements - haha! My brain doesn't work too much after 5pm after work (and not that great DURING work too - LOL).

Say, tonight I had an idea for a found object. I got a gift tonight from a friend and it had a candy cane attached - a big, clear, hollow plastic tube! What about that??? Check out the big gift candy canes that are hollow full of small toys or candy... maybe even in the pet section, full of pet toys? May be a possible source for the tube?

Well, your wood blank would be a perfect buck to use with a vacuumforming machine. You easily COULD make the actual gun out of hard plastic then. :wink:

well as far as copy's.i will leave that up to ck.still having a hard time finding the tube.and life kinda put it on hold for a short while.hope to have more pics soon.

Heads up on the attachment of the tubing. Use electrical taps crossing over and then passing under the bottom in the ridge areas. That will give you the studio version on how they were held together.
