Thanks sean! YES - I have bad luck with knives and the Cylon so far... but this time - no blood! :)

Thanks. Go for it Jeff! Hope my photo essay helps you with yours. Be sure to post some pics of your mod.

One suggestion - put down an old table cloth/cover on your work area. The old padding inside makes a mess when it crumbles out during cutting. I was extra careful too and cleaned it up as I worked, I wasn't sure if a few little crumbs from it would be toxic to the pets, etc. and wasn't going to take any risks.... the puppy wants to explore every tiny item!

Good work on the trimming there, John!

You'll see, you can do it.

You are sooo right! It makes me dizzy :)
They can hire me to be "the sticker guy" on the next show that uses TOS Cylons ;)

Say, did you ever notice in that photo the "nozzle" on the right forearm armor for a Command Centurion is black!? It's not gold like I'd expect (since a chrome Centurion’s is chrome).
Hummm - neat-o!
Interesting... never seen that before...

By the way: The Vulpa costume at the Seattle Sci-Fi Museum does have a gold nozzle. Just look at this picture:

Maybe they had no time to paint it properly on "Hand of God" due to the tight production schedule...

BTW I have one of the production made nozzle pieces for Vulpa, just never mounted or screen used to my knowledge. Maybe it was but no real way to verify it since it isn't mounted in a screen used piece when I picked it up, nor do I recall any material on it to secure it down.

WOW Red Eye - that picture was great. There are more on other SciFi robots too in that user's photos. I got a few more downloaded. Twiki's suite was a surprise - how it has deteriorated.

Did you notice that Vulpa is dressed wrong too? His forearm armors are backwards. And YES! the nozzle is gold on him!? He also has stickers/markings. Seems that Command Centurions did have them - who knew! lol

Cool news you have an original part GoldCylon! Snap a photo with your iPhone sometime and post it up :) It would be cool to see.

Thank you.

The Command Centurions had the same markings/stickers on them as the Centurions... it's bad to see because they're never seen as clearly as the standard silver ones. At that screen-cap, the backpack-sticker can be seen, for instance:

By the way: The complete Twiki-costume was also sold during PiH's 16th Hollywood Auction sale among a lot of other "Buck Rogers" costumes and props. I could upload these pages too if anybody here is interested...

Got some SHARP sissors and did the final trimming of the green.
On the right you can see the nice clean new outer edges.

Not to hijack John's thread, but his work inspired me to take a crack at mine tonight..

AFTER 12:20AM

That wasn't so hard, and the tin snips worked wonders..

Now to dye them.. ;) :byyourcommand:

I never noticed that in the back ground the tubes are cardboard and duck-tape.
