groupleaderzeta wrote:What color was the IL series heads? On the show they look different colors. Grey is to me a medium color as a starting point.
Looking at specter, if his robes are red and silver, his face looks browish and not the redish/pink from lucifer.
I think the basic color would be the red/pink version as seen on the photos of the screen-used head.

any thoughts on this?
That's the way it works.
While looking at the screen-used head again, it looks like white tubes were also used, but I'd leave them out and use puple lights instead.

I think there were both - tinted tubes and clear tubes. Probably one of each all twisted around.

I have drip dyed vinyl tubing before, all I did was to pour rit dye into the tube, slosh it around, and drain the rest out, let dry a couple days, and poof you have color. only tried it on black, no lights.

That "TWINKLE EFFECT" that you are referring to is done with a filter on the camera lens not with the lights themselfs.
If you notice the twinkle from Apollo and starbucks Lasers, The twinkle of the Cylon suit, The twinkle of the scanner eye.
That's done with a diffuser filter over the camera lens, it's used to soften the shot plus it makes pinpoints of light twinkle.

I was at my local Meijer today geting items for the head and spotted a paint color called pink berry, to me this looks close to the pics I have.

Give it a try.
If it's not working, I'd try maroon or something like that...

Are you referring to a paint chip or card?

They have a card sample? Post it. I do mean a sample you make, but the card works better I think.

Here are some sample cards from home depot. looking at them, I think the top one in the second scan called "Mulberry" is close.

Hm, I still think it's too pale.
