Cylon Undersuit piping fabric?
I'm going to be tackling the project of sewing a Cylon undersuit for a friend. I have NO idea where to find the material for the piping and leg "armor". Does anyone have a source for that?? Thanks

I think the old photo gallery has all the details.

I don't have a pattern, but I have a "prototype" suit that my friend had. It's everything it needs to be, just the wrong colors. I plan to use the prototype as my guide.
I guess I'll have to rummage through the old gallery for the info then? *Edit: I looked through the gallery, but all I saw were pictures. Nothing said what type of fabric is used for the piping/leg "armor" or where to get it.

Well the old photo gallery isn't accessible except though Google image search results, but I think I found one photo to show off.

The plumb color is lyrca... hard to find it that color anywhere. It is swimsuit/dance fabric more-so and only around in BRIGHT colors.
The patches are vinyl and the piping I'm not 100% certain on the "correct" material.

My friend already has the correct purple lycra material that he had custom dyed...but I need to find the vinyl. I found this: http://www.mjtrends.com/products.Gun-Me ... nyl,Fabric Or is that too light? I was thinking that the grey should be pretty dark.

The tubing is gun metal in color, but that color in the photo doesn't look like it is the correct color. It could be the lighting is all.

In that photo of the undersuit, the patches and piping seem pretty light colored too. It might be a lighting trick. Unfortunately, they don't sell swatches, so I'd have to get a yard to see it in person...
