After I've received the catalog of Profiles in History's 17th Hollywood Auction, I've scanned various Galactica-related auctions within, including the original Cylon rifle.
I've looked closer to the rifle and came to realize that the side panels used on this weapon differs from the other one that Dale owns (see comparison).
So what's the story of having two versions of those side panels and what kind of model kit (if at all) was used as basic mold for making the other version?

I've been working on my own set of decals for my armor - and looking at the show only there seems to be a similar issue with the decals. There are different versions/applications of the decals (such as the upside down back pack stickers during the Imperious Leader walking in sequence.
I think it was just the pressure of a weekly TV show, the prop shop did what they could as fast as they could and sometimes it was not all that consistent.
That would be GREAT to know what the gun detail is from.
Anyone have the info???
