The colonies under Cylon rule?
The people left in the colonies after they fell now under Cylon rule, what do we think happened to those poor people? Were they all murdered in a cybernetic purge or were they enslaved to work in the mines or the like?
I somehow feel they may have been used in experiments by the Cylons to create the humanlike Cylons as seen in Galactica 80! A bit like how the Terminators of the Arnold Schwarzenegger films were covered in real human skin from prisoners taken in raids or in battle! I couldn't see the human populations being kept alive especially after the Imperious Leader of Galactica 80 changed the hand of truce ideal as offered by the previous Leader to Adama by Baltar in Lost Planet of The Gods or is it the same Leader (with new voice) who was offended by the destruction of the city on Gammoray in Living Legend?

I'd agree, if some did survive the onslaught that they were kept for experiments like that. Like lab rats. It would have been very few and probably "oh well" if something went wrong, just get rid of them. No doubt they would be civilians so they'd have very little knowledge that would help the Cylon war machine against the Galactica / Vipers - tracking or fighting them.

Their human bodies would be of immense use to the Cylon machines though! And in Galactica 80 I'm sure the two Cylon/human pilots were the result of Cylon technology coupled with human biology!

There's a deleted scene on the DVD where this conversation takes place...
SERPENTINE: And what of the humans who have bargained for their lives?
IMPERIOUS LEADER: When you are satisfied that we know everything they know, return them to our people, and allow them the privilege of seeing them beheaded.
SERPENTINE: By your command.

Re: The colonies under Cylon rule?
I wonder if the Cylons did annihilate all of the colonial prisoners left on the colony planets after the war or whether the new Imperious Leader did change that ruling to life under slavery or even cybernetic enhancement as I had thought might be the origins of the Cylon humanoids as seen in Galactica 80?
Or he may have offered them the hand of truce and let them live under their own ruling as long as it did not impinge on the Cylon way of life?
