I downloaded a software vocorder that says it does voice/sounds "old school." More like the machines that they used on Classic Battlestar.
I've got it, but have not installed it / used it yet. I need to get it installed and I'll let you know how it goes. I hope it will get something close to a Cylon voice

I don't have any idea where my microphone is so I uses a clear line of dialog from the new Battlestar I had on hand.
Baltar: "The last time anybody saw the Cylons they looked more like walking chrome toasters!"

For an "out-of-the-box" setup, I think that it is very nice. There are many ways to tinker with the program - that is free and fully functioning (no disable on the save till you buy it or stuff like that). This took literally like 1 minute and under 10 clicks to make. Perfecting the Carrier File (the noise that overlaps the voice) I think would be the key to getting a good Cylon voice.
Shame it can't be "on-the-fly" in a costume, but at least you could make some nice sound files.
