As part of their upcoming Icons & Legends of Hollywood Auction, Profiles in History will sell an original Imperious Leader robe...

(ABC TV, 1978-1979) Vintage original oversized burgundy velvet robe with light and dark purple tiered, sequined "plumage" down chest and back. With velcro closure and winged standing collar. Exhibiting some age and production wear. In vintage very good condition. $3,000 - $5,000

But I'd really like to know where this odd stand-up collar came from.

They must have re-used the costume in another production. I hope we can find it someday...

I don't think so.

The aninmatronic figure wore a completely different costume and the one used for TV commercial was the unaltered, screen-used robe.
