A Sharp Salute, Captain Apollo... the one-and-only Richard Hatch. You will be dearly missed.
I was lucky enough to see him at Galacticon III - both in and out of costume.
He was actually the first person ever to take a photo with me trooping.
It doesn't get more rewarding for a classic Cylon Centurion than for THE Apollo to approve of your costume out-of-the-gate and say "We gotta get a photo" --- on his own time --- in the skyway between hotel and convention center!!!
Even Cylons red eye's are crying today...

Re: Richard Hatch has passed
I went to see Richard, and the crew at a BSG mini Con in Modesto CA about 4-5 months ago. It was a great time as I was a panel member with Eric Larson (Glen's son) as he gave a talk about the life of Glen. I was glad to see all the other actors, and concerned that Richard wasn't there. It was reported he was admitted to the hospital. No one said anything more than that, but a day or two later Richard's Facebook page was again active, and he man mention of his short stay. He played it off as nothing. Unknown if it was related to cancer that took his life.

Re: Richard Hatch has passed
Horrible news...looks like 2017 is going to be another hell year for untimely celebrity deaths. Never met him personally but I never heard a bad word spoken about him, nor did he ever seem to have a bad word spoken about anyone else. A truly kind, caring Andrew gracious individual. Such a loss...
I may appear unoccupied to you, but at the molecular level, I'm really quite busy.

I had the honor of meeting Richard Hatch multiple times at various conventions throughout the years. I can honestly say that he was the most kindhearted down-to-earth man. He was nice to fans and always took the time to listen to what people had to say. Long live Captain Apollo and we'll never forget Richard Hatch.

Devastating news indeed.

Talking 1978, Galactica put us Cylons on the map.
Talking 2003, without our human enemy, we would not have existed in the first place.
Rest in peace, Richard.
EDIT: No banner on Blackstar? Shame...

I play Battlestar Galactica online. Talk to me if you want to meet up there, fellow Cylon.
