Are you going to make it a gold / copper Command Centurion or a standard silver chromed Centurion version?

After I assemble it, I am going to compare it to my other helmet awaiting plating to see which one I like better. That one will be the copper one, and will get my metal mouth grill. The other I will likely just chrome. I really like that it is ABS. I wish I had my suit in ABS instead of styrene.

ABS is what the original studio units were made out of. I will have the entire set of armor that goes with the helmet, in ABS, soon! Here's some pics of other parts. Also these are ABS - snow white gloss like the ABS stormtrooper helmets. They have CLEAR lines where to trim. Parts are clean!

Both of those helmets are nicely done, and I do see slightly different detaining difference in the trim details. Knowing the composite differences one ABS, and the other Styrene does make it easier on what one to chose. Rookie level builders clearly you are not should select the Styrene, and then more advanced builders the ABS is the right choice. :cylongold:

That's true. It's just a matter of choice.

just received the kit. really great, there are cutlines in the pull, extra abs, templates, and sharp detail pieces. as a size parameter....my CORA kit fits inside this one. they both have different detail and eye pieces, and will make a nice pair. gonna build them next month and try chroming, possibly a good place in CT, or the spray,, and some lights, then pictures...

I'm glad you are happy with it! Here are some step by step general guidelines to help you guys build your kits. I hope it's helpful.

1) TAKE YOUR TIME! It's not a race.
2) Measure TWICE and cut ONCE.

Heed that advice and you will be happy with your build or any build for that matter. Have fun with it. :cylon:

Those measurements are not defined from suit to suit. They all vary a bit since it was free hand that marked them to cut to fit. So lets say on my 1 the measurement of 1 is 3, and 1/16 of an inch. The second pack might be 2/16th inch more then mine, and a 3rd one might be 1/16th of inch less. I would do what is the best look, feel, and easy of building the back pack. I will say if this is your first one it is a bit of a challenge to assemble I would suggest you try 2 inch wide blue painters tape to help make the adjustments, and spot hold it together. There is no wrong if it fits, and looks good.
