Yes I agree, and also since they gave the 2003 series the #1 spot they were able to let the 78 escape the list.

Is there no love for the classic series at all? The one and only BSG???
What a shame.
What a shame.

I couldn't get #1 to load at work when I was first looking at the list,
so since it was not in #50 to #2, I just assumed that it was Star Trek Voyager.

And really... how can new BSG be #1 - WITHOUT the original even ranking?! * LAME *

What a load of felgercarb! Missing from that list:
Battlestar: Galactica (1978-1980)
Blake's 7 (1978-1981)
UFO (1969-1970)
Space: 1999 (1974-1976)
The Survivors (1975-1979)
Star Trek: Voyager (1995-2001)
Star Trek: Enterprise (2001-2005)
The Sarah Jane Adventures (2007-2011)
The Omega Factor (1979)
The Nightmare Man (1981)
The Invisible Man (1983)
The Day of the Tiffids (1981)
The Tripods (1984-1985)
The Tomorrow People (1973-1979)
Out of the Unknown (1965-1971)
Children of the Stones (1976)
The Man from UNCLE (1964-1968)
The Avengers (1961-1969)
The New Avengers (1976-1977)
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964-1968)
The Outer Limits (1995-2002)
The Time Tunnel (1966-1967)
Land of the Giants (1968-1970)
"V" (2009-2010)
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (1981)
Quatermass (1953-1978)
Star Maidens (1976)
Star Cops (1987)
Millenium (1996-1999) in the same universe as The X-Files
Supercar (1960-1961)
Ace of Wands (1970-1972)
Timeslip (1970-1971)
Fireball XL5 (1962-1963)
Stingray (1963-1964)
Thunderbirds (1964-1966)
Captain Scarlet & the Mysterons (1967-1968)
Joe 90 (1968-1969)
The Secret Service (1969)
The Champions (1967-1968)
Whoever created that list is far too American-centric; Stargate SG1 the longest running scfi TV show......bollocks, Doctor Who ran continuously from 1963-1989! Also, I can disregard the opinions they give because they diss the far superior original Doctor Who in favour of the new series (2005-present) and include so many crappy animated shows that just weren't that good.
What about one-off TV plays like The Year of the Sex Olympics (1968) and The Stone Tape (1972)?
