3D printable Centurion parts?

Post by ChromePoet » Tue Apr 22, 2014 3:25 am

I am considering to 3D print (with ABS plastic filament) some parts for my Centurion:
- the model-bashed decorations to the sides of Cylon Rifle
- new mouth grill with downward-looking open slits to enhance downward visibility
- possibly new visor with some visibility-enhancing modifications

So does anyone have done this before? Does there exist any ready 3D model files, or do I have to model myself?

Any other experience in 3D printing costume parts? I don't yet have a 3D printer, but am seriously considering one..

Hi,

I've got a 3D printer too and was wondering about printing the eye piece.
But it is currently not possible to get a high res 3D model anywhere.
I will see if I can remodel the eye piece I have.

This might take some time as I'm currently half-packed to move to a
new house, but this can still take some months before my centurion
helmet parts come out of the moving boxes.

Cheerio,
