Post by eamon » Mon Apr 29, 2013 4:12 am

g'day everyone

My name is Eamon and after attending suppernova this year and seeing a lone centurion walk and basicly steal the show from the 501st. I Thought I too should build a set of armor. looking on this site I see there are several different producers of armor to get and I was wondering what others here use and what others here would recomend a first timer, also any major differences, i see alot of cora stuff. also is there anyother centurions in australian?

thanks Eamon

Welcome Eamon! Glad to have you join.
Yes we have several Aus members... Probably the best way to find them would be to run a search for "Australia" or something. Off the top of my head I think we have maybe nearly ten members'down under.' ;) one of the guys even has a studio made suit!

As far as armour... There are a small amount of providers as you noticed (not as many as for Star Wars). All of them are excellent guys. Read up in the Cylon Store section of the site - have to be logged in to see the members only section.

Differences are not that various. Plastic or fiberglass is one. Pre-chromed or not, etc. Who is "better?" It really depends on what you want out of your costume - they are all great sellers.

Also you need to plan on the under suit - that is the MOST complex part of the costume. Everyone overlooks it at first... Then WHOA... They realize... Dang!

Welcome aboard!

I've got my armor from a seller named Bentley O'Toole who also lives down under. You might heard of him.

But there was serious trouble with him so I don't think he's doing kits anymore.

The best would be contacting C.O.R.A. or Hand-Schaub, both make AWESOME Centurion kits.

Good luck!

Welcome, and I think there are 4 members down under. Mike (Last Battlestar), and Brad are the two that come to mind at the moment, and yes the tin heads steel the show all the time. A Troop is a dime a dozen, and Cylon is a classic.
