OK I need to dig my proof, but I do have a few of them. So here is the question. I'll sound off when some answers it correctly, and no hints given.

Can anyone name the 1978 release of an BSG item that could only be purchased with a prescription.

Well no one even replied to the posting, but I did receive this link in a face book message today. Joe from Galactica Wiki supplied the correct winning answer. He gets a pat on the back since I have no budget for a real price.

I thought of that oddly enough or vitamins. But vitamins army prescription. Still glasses are a bit strange especially for the 70s. I could see that today but not then. Another way the show was ahead of it's time.
