Cylon skirt interest thread
You are going to love it. The material alone is just cool to feel. It's very unique
If "they" say it can't be done, it just means "they" cant do it.

Re: Cylon skirt interest thread
Is it still possible to get skirts? I need to start somewhere and by reading the board skirts don't come around too often. I'd be interested in a skirt for a gold cylon and one for a chrome cylon.

Re: Cylon skirt interest thread
No discount is given when I placed my order of 10 about 5 or 6 years ago. The rate was still the same then as it is today per piece, but I was able to select a free custom color. Yeah I selected the screen used original color. Since then I think 2 others have placed the 10 lot order still same price as my order.takevin wrote:Think there should be enough to do a run here, I have a few guys possible off board who would want one. Was doing a little research on this fabric and ran across the same Whiting & Davis link.
However i also found that this fabric goes by the name of Glomesh. It was popular in the 70's. Was used to make jewelry, purses, clothing etc.....
Anyway you may have known this already just thought i would share....

Glomesh seems to be making a turn to popularity again. I find it mainly in purses all the time. My wife actually got her bridesmaids purses of that material which made me love her even more (yes - she was aware of the Cylon connection). I have yet to see a cheap garment which a skirt can be made out of though. I have not been able to find the material by itself either. But still - nothing compares to the heft of the orignals.

Re: Cylon skirt interest thread
I think to drive new interest on this subject would to start interest thread. Do the research like cost per unit, what the price break would be if you reached a certain count, how long is the price quote good for, window of opportunity time frame to fill order. Just a few ideas to see if you can get an order placement in the works. Once the new thread is up and running I can prompt this and get plenty of imprints (eyes) will see this and hopefully order quota filled quickly.
