Dale thought they might be wire crimpers or something like that. I thought they were the backs of something else. I try to make it out in the Buck Rogers masks but I'm having trouble. Either way I will mock up a mask without them seeing how they would be very easy to add later if needed but if they are not there it doesn't seem like such a huge deal.

UPDATE
Since I have a mold for the final greeblies I just made I assembled the first mask. Good ol' hot glue made quick work of the build. The lights function as seen in Goldcylon's post but the electronics are just hanging out in the back... I still need to clean them up or make a mount for them. I still need a resistor for the side but I figure you all can get then general idea. I set up the mask components as the most current pictures suggest. I still think that the production ones had the rectangle board lower by the 'lips'. Overall I think it's pretty cool and it was fun to make.

So let's just say I am able to make these for around $125 each. Who wants one? I ask because I currently have no plastic left and I need to order some which is never a cheap purchase and I want to make the order count.

thanks for looking and I hope you think this ugly guy is as cool as I do.

Hand-Schaub it is AWESOME!
What *exactly* will come in your kit? And what 'state' will the parts be in (uncut/cut/not painted/painted, etc.)?

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: WOW, it came out great! Beautiful work!!! :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

I definitely want one so please count me in!

Here are some more questions, if you don't mind: Will the mask also feature some drilled holes at the chin like the original ones?

How about adding the three clamps or whatever at the forehead and the cheeks?

And, most importantly: When would you be able to have a full mask finished for delivery?

* I can drill as many holes in it as you like. In fact Red Eye I do have one that I set aside for you with a larger hole drilled by the nose for the extra wires to go through. The wire wont do anything but it will look like the original.

* I would be happy to add the clamp things if I knew what they actually were. It is such an easy thing to add later that I could always send them out to people to add and attach. OF course if I find them earlier I would add them right away.

* I have three masks vacu-formed right now. I need small parts for the other two but realistically I could have a mask ready to send out by the end of the week. If anymore are needed I would need to order new plastic which I will need to anyways eventually.

Perfect! Oh, one more question: Do you also have drilled some additional holes at the rim of the mask?

I could also ask my uncle about these clam thingies. He's an electrician and maybe knows what they are/where to find them.

If you can identify/remake them, then it would be nice if you add them or send them later.

When you have one mask ready to go, please PM or mail me so I can send the payment.

Sounds good RE. After I wrote my last post I was thinking to myself, "I made all that other crap why don't I just make up a clip thing too". So yes - I will have at least something resembling the parts on the final mask.

Nice! I can hardly wait to wear it the first time and blasting the pogees out of the Colonial scum!

Here's another question (again): Will you also include this brown plug or whatever at the chin?

Sorry for asking so many questions... I know I'm a by the lords of Kobol perfectionist!

that looks like a paper separator from a plug item similar from what the cheek plug is. The best I can do with that is cut out a piece like that from thicker brown card stock and apply it.

Today, I've ordered some fabric for my Civilian robe:

And this will be used for making the stripes:

That fabric looks great. Do you have a link on the material so I can go that route also.
