I hope they don't modernize the robots too much or completely redesign them...

The design of Max for instance looked awesome back then or to say it with a famous V.I.N.CENT. quote: "You can't modify perfection."

I wonder if when they remake this they'll improve the terrible scientific accuracy? Much as I love the 1979 film it is extremely cavalier with the science. I suppose Intersteller (2014) is a modern take in some ways; an incredible film, well worth seeing if you haven't already.
