A screen-used Sentry Robot stunt helmet has been surfaced on YourProps.com:

WOW. That looks light a tight fit to wear it from the inside view.
I remember you said that the vision was very bad in these helmets. Seems odd, so much "eye area" ... but I guess they were not transparent???

The hero fiberglass helmets would have split up in the middle to have a front faceplate and a back helmet section. The stunt helmet, like this one, were made from thick flexible rubber / latex and was a one pieced helmet to simply slip over the actors head I assume.

The vision was achieved by adding three small slits in the front of the eyes, which were then covered with chrome mylar just like the viewing slit over the visor area on the Centurion helmet.

I'll see if I can dig up the image from the inside of an original faceplate. Just give me some time...

GREAT pic! Can see exactly how the vision works.

And, wow, Sentry's are just soo creepy!
They always give me a chill marching along in perfect unison in their groups... COOL STUFF!

Yeah, that's why the Sentries are my absolute favorite robots from "The Black Hole".

They also have the coolest weapon designs, IMHO.

Love the new pics.

Say, I never noticed the screw right in the middle of the "eyebrow" area. Looks cool - very "robotish."

I was wondering about that screw myself.

By comparing it with other screen-used helmets, I rather think it was added later.
