Glad you all like the card model. You know of course that there is a TOS card model of most of the uniform..... Right?

Yes, indeed. I've made the helmet once too. Cool stuff. There are a few threads about it here.

P.S. Welcome to the site, Neptune

That looks like spot glazing putty. I do not recommend. I have other methods feel free to ask.

I use spot putty and enamel primer to seal the small leaks and gaps, in the seams of the build before using fiberglass on the interior and polyester resin on the outside to sculp in the correct contours. It seems to have worked for me so far. I started doing this 5-6 years ago, but I'm always willing to learn more.

Try bondo thinned with acetone it sets way faster and works about the same. I can't wait for putty, I has failed me time and time again. Shrinks, un drillable, it crumbles and it takes forever.

I have never tried the thinning bondo with acetone (Great Idea!)..and we stopped useing Polyester resin years ago because it too shrinks and is very hard to sand. (And it stinks up the joint!)

When we make foam core wings now we use west systems epoxy resin as they make many different catalists and filler additives and it works very good for vacuum bagging and general fiberglassing, you can also use micro baloons mixed with the epoxy resin for fill and shaping.

Sands easy!

Example would be the fillets on a plane where the wing meets the fusalage

Skull Beast, as an artist have you used the West systems epoxy resin on any of your projects?
