Now I'm thinking, it may be fun making a helmet using styrene with this "blueprint"?

I have already started this one in paper in hope of making molds to pull pieces from.

Molding from paper? Not sure that will work.

I'm thinking more about using styrene sheets.

You can sand and fill etc.

Interested in seeing some progress pics though!

It does work. You use the paper as a base for a plaster stiffener and then to a plaster mold, then vaccu-form.

I have seen this done in paper board, and then fiber glassed on the inside.

You just download the PDF and print it out using a printer. Follow the instructions .. you should have doing stuff like this in kindergarten...

I am not very artsy thats why i asked if someone has put one together and sells them as it looks unique. I might could do it but it would look no where near like in finished pictures if I did it.

Hey folks!

Been awhile :)

I did one of these ages ago - my first build in fact! Did it in stiff paper and got some sticky chrome sheets... seriously if I can do it ANYONE can. Its real easy if you take your time and if you mess up - its just paper!

Mine has a messed up mouth and is too small for my head - been thinking of redoing it bigger then fiberglassing the inside and bondo (or whatever the Irish version is) on the outside to smooth it out...

Seriously mrmovieprop - give it a shot on some crap printer paper to see how easy it is - hell if your stuck you can have mine. I just dont think it would be worth the effort to ship etc...

Anyhoo - here is the pic if anyone is interested :)

WOW. I just downloaded the PDFs... very nice. A LOT of effort went into these. Thanks for sharing them. Now, I just need some chrome paper and a rainy day 8)
