First test pulls

Post by Jimbo890 » Wed Jan 04, 2006 8:42 pm

Dale, I'm working to get those arms ready to form this weekend. I tested the hand armor with .093 HIPs, and it looks pretty good. That thick a material, the corners will be a bit soft, but it looks promising!

Jim

Any news with the summer time break from school with the armor.
BTW A very cool movie you put together, well the short film. A class act. Very Night of the Living Dead.

The Halo project was sent back to me about 1 year ago. Just time didn't allow with the other projects Jim had going on, and poor results in the pulls. Jim tried, and did get some results, just not sharp. Thanks for the try anyway Jim.

I found a local guy that makes pulls, and is a pretty good artist at making what I call molds, and he calls tool. He makes things work via reworking the tools. I spoke with him about it, and it is a back burner project for both of us now. We are (him mostly) working on setting up to build 4 to 6 Cylons for Comic Con next year. After the Cylons are finished then we will be moving on over to the Halo project.
