Any vacu-formers able to help? Aug-Sept. 2011

Hello,
I need some help to get something vacu-formed by early October 2011, but just don't quite have the time to build a table to do it right now. It's a visor for a Guy helmet from Daft Punk, for my oldest daughter... I'm also doing a very elaborate costume for my other daughter so I am stretched very thin. I only need 1 hero dark grey visor and 1 test-fit visor (in any type of plastic). I should have the buck finished within a couple weeks or less. Of course, I'll pay for time and material, I just need to get it done. Anyone? Drop me a PM if you are able. Thanks!

Your over in Marin County right? Try dropping Hand-Schab a PM, and see if he can help.

I wanna post a big thank you to Brian (Hand-Schaub) for coming to my rescue on this. In the face of his own important events, he still managed to run off a few test pulls and a hero visor for me to use, as well as turning me on to Nite Shades spray tint. Thanks Brian and all the best this weekend!

Thanks for the nod - it's a cool project. The inmportant things happening is thatI am getting hitched to my 6! I got a real cool cake cutter - look for the pictures next week.

But back to the topic - glad I could help. It made my wheels spin on making a clear Cylon helmet where all the guts are exposed or using an interior mirror finsh so the whole helmet becomes the visor.

Post pictures of your final project as I'm sure it will be awesome!

Well the costume's not quite finished yet, but the helmet is. It obviously has it's shortcomings when compared to the original helmet, but overall we are quite happy with it. It was our first pepakura project, and we learned alot on it. My daughter did about 50% of the overall work on the thing, and I am quite proud of her, as it was quality work she did (single tear rolling down cheek...).

Thanks again Brian. I hope last Sunday was a success!

THUMBS UP, FLIGHTLDR SERPENTINE!

I see the LEDs under the "ears" ... I'm guessing that's all for version 1.0, right?

Thanks. Yep, just red and green flashies for this helmet... but we may move on to something more complex on helmet 2.0...
