Re: Galactica 1980 Helmet
I have seen the history of this helmet, and the wiggly mold the fiberglass guy made. Minor issues, but maybe to much for the current owner to adjust. I like the helmet. I should bid on it since I am such a Battle of Galactica tram fan.

Re: Galactica 1980 Helmet
Anyone ever see the helmet they used once on Psych? It was beautifully painted, but the lower half of the helmet with the "chin" area was considerably larger than it should have been (before it broke off and looked like a toilet seat) and the upper half of the helmet seemed a bit "off". It's hard to tell where it came from.

I'll try - it's very obscure and was in only one episode. It was an odd mix of really cool looking and really "off"...

Re: Galactica 1980 Helmet
I didn't notice that, but Mark Bradley a few years ago supplied for a major film release about 4 or 5 helmets that were in the back ground decoration. It was a 20 something guy movie, and a Viper helmet was one of the helmets. I saw the clip and it was pretty cool to see it, and it did stand out.

Does anyone know what brand/type/model of motorcycle helmet was used for the Galactica: 1980 helmets?

Re: Galactica 1980 Helmet
It is hard to say the brand since a few different makes were used. One guy I talked with that made a few of them while he worked at Universal said he bought the helmets at the local auto parts just a few blocks from the studio. IMHO just about any late 70's early 80's open face helmet will be OK. Bell was pretty popular back then.
