I haven't seen the three part pilot of Galactica 80 after all these years but recently I read about Baltar being the commander of one of the basestars closing in on the Galactica even if we never see him and I remember seeing the film Conquest of The Earth where footage of john Colicos and Lucifer has been taken from The Young Lords to fit in with the continuity and also a gold Cylon refers to Commandant Baltar. So what's the deal guys?

I wonder why Baltar was referred to as Commandant rather than Commander? Or was it because of the Eastern Alliance Commandant Leiter connection from Baltar's Escape?

They also kept calling him "Commandant" in one of the newly dubbed scenes for the telemovie "Space Prison".
