Galactica 1980 RE-Played A Cylon Yells!

Post by Queenhunter » Sat Feb 05, 2011 6:00 am

Hey, I recently re watched galactica 1980 and was Amazed!

Amazed that the Script was even used, allowed and apparently not proofed.

During the first episode their were so many oddities.

As in the android Cylon always speaking what was on his mind. (explaining)
many others also, and the fact that all of a sudden they are on a roadside, and it is Halloween? how convenient. was another one scene where android Cylon pretended to be federal authority? WOW! crash into an alien planet and already know govt and society.

How they cancel 1 and opt for another I will never understand.A rush to fill -correct a mistake?

Anyway here was the shocker, an android Cylon that yells-screams when he falls off a building. (top of Radio Station) I thought that was so funny as I was watching it.

This may explain Why I can recall Galactica so well and notta of Galactica 1980
I hope the new film being made- with Brian Singer Directing will offer up something good.

Well if you recall G80 aired at 7:00 PM on a Sunday night. Back then shows had to be super kid friendly / educational to a certain part. That is why the stud guns were used over the blasters. They studded everyone back then, and didn't blast away killing anyone not even the Nazi solider was killed. Just part of the ABC learning effect that you scream as you fall, unless in space where no one can yeah you scream....

you must have a cylon data bank! after you stating this I realize there is truth to it.
And that never dawned on me.It makes absolute sense to me. But to remember that
you got a good data bank in your head :-).

Easy to forget the mood-times-attitudes of a time gone by.

I wonder if then anyone else thought a cylon yelling while falling was funny.

Reminds of another one in the movie Excalibur- there is a medieval knight smoking a cigarette
under a rampart in one of the scenes.

Your opening post reads like you watched Conquest Of The Earth, which is the third 'movie' in the BG series of theatrical films, not the first ep of

It's compiled from different eps of G80 and 'The Young Lords' from BG.

Some of you might have noticed that this and other posted video links don't work anymore...

The explanation is as simple as it is unfortunate: I've accidently deleted my YouTube account! :( :( :(

But not to worry, I'll re-upload all (or most) of my posted videos the coming weeks so please give some time to straighten things up!

Thanks! I'll do my best.

Some of them weren't saved so it will take a bit longer to have them posted again...

Yeah, I still remember seeing Galactica 1980 in it's first premiere run on tv. We were all anxious and excited to have our beloved Battlestar return to tv...that is until we saw the horrific new show it became. Kid friendly in an earlier timeslot does not mean bad tv...but in this case it does. What a horrific disappointment and it was immediately apparent after the first episode. We kept waiting and hoping for a decent episode and finally it paid off...The Return of Starbuck was what we all wanted! And then...cancelled. truly a shame indeed.
