It might be worth $20 to try it out if nobody here has tried it. It's probably junk though.Cylon-Knight wrote:That first link had one bad review on it... seems like that one isn't gonig to work for Cylons.

This one arrived just now.

That was pretty much a waste of money for me. It's a blank circuit board with little packets of resistors, etc.. Nothing is assembled. I can pretty much guarantee that I will never get it to work.

Cool! You got the kit? I have been reading up on electronics and stuff - wanting to make my own Cylon and Knight Rider circuits. No extra cash for the kits - or all the parts I need just yet. I've got no skills at it either, but want to learn.
Give it a whirl, I'm sure you can do it with some practice. You'll probably surprise yourself AND you might sound like a Cylon Rock Star!

Nice pic, cheers...
@CinnamonToast
It states it's a kit, that needs assembly eh?
Anyway, electronics aren't that hard, but you need a soldering iron, or someone who can do it for you.
Things that generally go wrong is placing the caps wrongly or other components that are direction dependent.
RTFM and you'll do just fine!

Re: Portable Cylon Voice?
A dedicated "Cylon Voice" vocoder app is now available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This app transforms your voice into that of a deep, metallic Cylon.
Two ways to create your own colon voice and use it in your own project:
1) Sampler: record your colon voice and send it by mail. Import sound sample in your own project
2) Play in Live mode: speak and transform your voice instantly. By connecting your iphone, ipod or ipad (via headphone jack) to your computer you can provide your clips and music with a Cylon voice.
For a demonstration you can watch on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3H4fYtDkTxk (more clips soon.)

The App sounds great! (with a headset) I will have to figure out a way to split the mic, and add an amp.
The eye sound is not great... It basically sucks. And the engine sound.. well.. I'll just leave that one off.
Other than that, I think we have found ourselves the best thing EVER!!! El cheapo Cylon voice!!!
