Every Cylon Needs a Voice

In the process of ordering the suit I've come across a dilemma. Should I buy the $92 MP3 with prerecorded voice lines or instead use Voice Express to rather, record my own lines, and find a way to install that into the helmet?
The most accurate way to make a Cylon voice isn't much of a problem for me. It's just not genuine. On the other hand, 92 bucks is a lot of money on top of what I've already spent!
Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi Buddy,
Take a look here, a lot of people are having great success with this set up and i have one myself, it's a lot to put out but once you have it, it will really add to the experience.

The biggest problem I see with that VT-3 system is a speaker. I'm getting the full 2 grand set, so I'm hoping speakers are preinstalled.

like i said the VT3 route is a viable option but the full set up armor i don't think comes with pre-installed speakers, that part is up to you, what i plan to do is use the Aker amp so that at least i can turn the volume up a bit and hide the speaker on my belt somehow and disguise it.
sorry i can't be much help as i am still in the sanding and filling staged in between building other star wars costumes.
i do not think that there is a lot of people visit these boards much, as a cylon isn't a cheap costume to do in regards to others, so it's just the hard core regs who keep posting.
good luck with your build and i look forward to seeing your pictures.
Regards.

piRatemaster - are you getting a VT3 kit from Kropserkel? I would think it would include a speaker. If not, they are cheap. You could even grab one (or two small ones) out of a junked car.
It really comes down to if you want an on-the-fly real-time voice changer for interacting with others at a con. Or if you'll be happy with random MP3 player system. Perhaps in time you could actually have both... no reason you can't have your cake and it too for us Cylons.
Ian is right. There are few Cylons... and fewer with voice systems. I hope to soon be the only one with a VISION system - HAHA! *secret plans*

Oh, crap! I totally forgot about this topic, sorry. I am buying the full Kropserkel kit. The big enchilada. Everything. Tried to get Comic-Con tickets too, but no frakking luck there. Comic-Con's too commercial for me anyways.
