Any news on a new Cylon Eye with comet trail??

Post by mancutd » Mon Nov 21, 2016 5:36 pm

Hi there to all you Cylons. Been viewing the message board for a while now and hoping there would be some new updates about a Cylon Eye Scanner with comet trail. Looking to update my Kropserkel suit or maybe a future C.O.R.A helmet. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

The eye scanner made by Jupiter Electronics is quite good.

I've got one in my own helmet and it looks awesome with some diffusion put in front of the single LED's.

Hey Red Eye, Do you have a video of it?

Thanks for the reply Red Eye. I checked out the Jupiter Eye scanner. Looks great but not sure if it has the comet trail effect. Do you know if Groupleader Zeta is producing his version 4 scanner yet? I did send him an email but i have had no reply.

Thanks Red Eye for the video and thanks Cylon Knight for uploaded it. Just ordered myself a Jupiter Scanner after seeing that.

Can I ask what Diffuser you use please? Cheers . :salute:

@Cylon-Knight: Thanks for uploading the video, C-K! I also wonder where the concept art came from... hmmm...

@mancutd: It was simple diffusion foil used for car modding, etc. Try a search on eBay and I'm certain you'll find it.

Thanks Red-Eye. I had a look on ebay as you said. Is it the stuff that you use to go behind the speedo dials? Also I take it that it needs to be in red too?

I did order from America some Mylar stencil sheet and some red filter acetate but not sure if that will have the desired effect.

Just took delivery of my Cooper 28 gloves. Though they are not 100% screen acurate due to the knuckles I am very impressed with them.

I think I got the V3 scanner from Zeta just a year ago. I can't imagine anything better than this one. It has comet tail, LED or Incandescent lamp option, speed control, and sound chip. …and the correct number of lamps. Wasn't cheap, but as I said before, it is worth every penny!

Thank you for the link Red-Eye. I have just purchased some from it. Serpentine thank you also. I would love to be able to get a Zelda scanner V3 in the future. Are these still available? I guess its best to PM Groupleader Zelda himself.

Slowly but surely i'm getting the parts together. I have Cordula making me an undersuit as i speak. Still have the CORA backpack to finish sanding and then chroming. I think i'm going to wait though to purchase the rest of CORA's armour to replace my Kropserkel before i send it off for this. Cooper gloves in hand and ready for modding.

Searching online for a G/M power battery belt is not producing any results. Any ideas where to look or even for a close replica would be handy?

Appreciate all your input. Many thanks again. :byyourcommand:
