I agree with C-K.

Can't wait to see your completed undersuit.

More Updates:

Spent yesterday with ex wife marking out all the details for the VT3 backpack. Basically I need a bag to house all of the components for the VT3. Including VT3, 2 amplified speakers, mp3 player (warble sound effect), 10000 Mah battery pack and all of the associated cables. New she has the measurements I expect it to be complete by middle of next week. I need it to sit right up on my shoulders in order to be hidden completely below the cylon backpack. I didn't want it fixed inside the cylon at all at this would cause stress to the chrome and would probably be uncomfortable to wear.
So I have a backpack in the process of being made.
Today I shall be making the arm panels out of vinyl and buckrum ready to be attached.
Also the buckrum vinyl panels are to be stitched on the thigh area of the legs this weekend. I'll get updates on here as soon as I get them. :loveit:

Looking forward to seeing the VT-3 holder. I have the same idea - not attached to the armor.

You are putting the speakers in the back pack? I am pondering mine being under the chest armor so my voice will project forward.

C k. I am getting mic feedback when the speakers are in the chest area. It is perfect when they are in the backpack.

Hey Dorns, your back pack idea sounds great, and your logic with speakers is fantastic.
I have had feedback issues with both my Vader and At At costumes this is great.
Maybe you could offer the back pack as a costume piece for production
If anybody can, Soda Can Cylon can. :cylon:

Good point about stress on the chrome finish/armor! Very interested to see how you work this out… I'll probably be following your lead.

Scabbard is complete. Wondering the best way to attach to belt though. I am sure I will work it out eventually.

I have three weeks to get this complete now. Around 90% finished so the big reveal will happen soon :byyourcommand:

On the original, the sword sheath was attached to the belt like this:

I can't remember, were those belt "loop" brackets on the scabbard found items or custom made?

I have quite a lot of bright sheet Stainless steel - so keeping it super shiny. However should the scabbard be held vertical i.e. pointing directly down or at an angle backwards? I want it to look right when I connect to the belt.

It mounts pointing directly down. But as you wear it, it will start to tip to an angle backwards... as the belt is worn loose, and the handle will weigh it down.

I had limited space and light to get a great shot. I have a couple of bits I need to do i.e. velcro and some elastic to be fitted but apart from that it is pretty much done.
I have a STARLIGHT FILTER on order from China so as soon as that arrives I will put the complete suit on and get some proper sparkly Cylon shots. I'll also upload a video of the complete suit when everything hangs together perfectly.
It's been a long slog, but thanks go to my Ex wife for doing a great job on the and under suit & backpack for the Roland VT3 (pics to follow) and thanks to http://www.kropserkel.com/ for a very good set of parts that kept me off the streets for quite a while! :byyourcommand:
