its basically the same thing that krop is selling.. but at a far cheaper price..

I picked mine up from Gumtree (not sure if there is a gumtree in the us but I know the UK and Aus have)

just need to get a better microphone and speaker for it..

Just received my VT3 system today from Krop and so far I am very pleased. I know it might be a little over priced but for me not having to source all of the extra piece's and get everything all at once and it's basically ready to for our next Con, well worth the little extra. So far I have been very pleased with all everything I have gotten from Krop and they have been very easy to deal with. Plus I have gotten tone's of fan's at the Con's in our area. Can't wait to be able to actually talk now though.

Is there anything inbetween the power supply and the VT-3 in the Krop system?

No, the portable power supply plug's directly into the VT3 system and it also power's the speaker which is already programed with the eye warble and you can speak while the warble is playing. So you don't need a separate system like a cd or mp3 loop with the eye warble. I'm still working on fine tuning the mounting of everything , so if anyone has any pic's or suggestion's feel free to let me know. I'm planning on testing it at our next convention in Baltimore in 2 week's. Not sure how long the power supply will last but it use's a USB cable to charge and I might get a spare power supply just incase. I also have a MP3 and wireless speaker as backup.

This device seems awesome. I am tempted to buy one and sort all the connections myself. Is the power supply a bespoke unit? Or could I make up my own? There is a bit of space in the backpack so I am wondering if it could be fitted in there?

I bought one. In three days I will also speak like a Cylon. The voice was by far the most important thing to have right and now it looks like I can be a Cylon all day at the next Comic Con. Just wonder how hot I will get with all the electronics strapped to my body.

I am thinking about getting one of the original camera belt packs they used and upgrading the batteries in it to modern lithium rechargeable batteries.. I could have brought one last year for $100 will keep my eye out..

my biggest problem is time to work on things, I do it bit by bit, I work in the mines over here so away from home for 2 weeks home a week.. and my week home I am usually doing stuff that i could not do when I was away lol.. hence a year my cylon has been in the box.. slowly work on the helmet to get that finished.

Here is my initial set up. I have some new USB powered speakers on order and a splitter so I can run the scanner sound .mp3 through the same speakers.

I have had the Anker supply running for more than an hour with it and I see the charge still strong showing 4 lights. I think it could easily outlast a typical troop out. The VT3 uses 380mAh. The battery is 10000Mah, pretty sure it will last the day!

I would be working on the cylon but I have to work today! Bah!

I've been looking for one of those for years. I'd pay top dollar for an accurate one1 I wanted to put the batteries in it as well.
