I am very happy with the VT-3. I'd say I got it to about 90% accurate. Even the lower voiced command centurion. :cylongold:

Please post some sound samples if you can.

I'll set it up again this weekend and get a few recordings. If I can figure out how to post them here I will.

I just received a VT-3 from Krop and it sounds really good. Not exact but close enough where I am happy. My problem is how to mount the system - because of size of the VT-3 I am going to mount it in the backpack with the power pack but not sure where to put the speaker. I could put it in the back pack with the VT-3 and power pack but worry because it is at the back of me that the sound will not project well. The speaker has a clip so I could put it in my belt/waist on the side. It wouldn't be so visible and there would be nothing constricting the sound. I could put the speaker in chest plate - but do I have the speaker facing out into the chest plate of facing my chest? I might try it in the different spots and see how the sound is received. Any suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated!

My local Con is this weekend and I have not had my Cylon out in three years. It is going to be so awesome to be able to talk like a Cylon!

The only draw back is the weight in the back pack does cause it to pull the front up and play havoc with catching the helmet

That looks awesome, and I 100% agree that it will pull the backpack back, and chock you to the point it will cause you to take it out after just a few minutes. If you are taking it out this weekend it will be to late, but the "L's" aka the toilet seat that goes across your shoulders needs to be redesigned or possibly a metal hanger harness to go over your shoulds that independently holds the unit then slip the pack over it, and you shoulders.

your setup's look great guys, can i ask one question please? if you don't mind that is, i have mine setup in the same way you guys have but my speaker just doesn't seem to cut it, what speaker are you guys using? and what sort of volume are you getting?.

Thank you for your time.

I used battery powered speakers and had it mounted in the chest piece. Everyone heard it, and especially me. It was very loud. :cylongold:

I just took my VT3 system out for it's 1st time at a small Con outside of Philly. Everything worked pretty well and lots of surprised face's when they heard me talk back to them The only issue's I seem to have found is that I had to use Moll Skin to tape the mic to my head (I'm bald so no big issue) so it would stay in place while putting the helmet and I would get a little feed back every once in awhile through the speaker. I have mine all set up in my back pack similar to yours Grimslaw and there is the extra added weight issue and the toilet seat tends to dig into my shoulder's a bit which I made more comfortable with Moll Skins. My main question is, Does anyone else have a problem with feed back and could recommend any setting changes? I have my mic sensitivity set on halfway.

The repetitive eye scanner sound drive me crazy after about 2 hours. Lucky for me someone bumped into me pretty hard, and it knocked the battery off. :evillaugh: :cylongold:

Well, I've finally jumped and have ordered my VT3 from our local rock shop, should be in soon.
I'm going to start working on my armour, not too sure what exactly I'll do as I'm in the middle of three other builds, bb8, bb9 and a first order storm trooper.
