Well a standard mesh skirt if pressed out of metal including the wire connectors. I haven't a closeup detail picture of your to judge if it not metal. I can't see standard thread supporting the weight of the metal.

I can tell that it's all metal, even the "fibers" or threads. I suppose I can practice on a corner somewhere. There's plenty of extra "material" there.
