Overlap, yep. I trimmed mine up quite a bit. What seem to be trim lines are not one a few parts.

Live the helmets.

You're not too fat... No such thing - big, small... Cylons rule them all! ;)
The angle of the curves around your shoulder/back is off.

One size fits most never works to hot, does it?

What exactly do you mean "The angle of the curves around your shoulder/back is off"?

And Cylon-Knight, a few more questions: was that just regular styrene adhesive, aka "model glue" you used to glue everything together? Like Testors? Will the Milliput pop off of the plastic, or does it bond well? I'm thinking of using it to sharpen some edges on the head, in particular. And also, when time to primer, is there a specific type of primer (definitely sandable) that is recommended for the plating?

Here we go...
Bright Blue - the angle of the curves (of the back pack - sorry)
Yellow - your shoulders/back
... that difference is why it seems "wrong."

For your questions:
  • I used regular Testors glue. Yes. I even added strips of sheet plastic on the insides spanning the seam. Glued everything up good and then Milliput the seams, and putty blobs on some inside corners for a bit more holding power.
  • Milliput can chip a bit, but overall sands and fills great. It is like any putty... you can smooth edges or sand a nice new sharp corner with it.
  • Primer, any would do... sandable, yes. Just ensure it (or anything) you use has no silicon in it - that will keep the plate from sticking.
  • And, yes, I gave you bunny ears

:bsglol: I didn't see the bunny ears until you said something! :nah:

Ok, so I took a look at real centurion photos and I don't see alot of difference in that angle. I am thinking maybe I just gave too much "girth"? :frak: I am s-l-o-w-l-y losing some weight, but maybe I should trim into the edge of that backpack a little for a better fit? I won't rush into this if I do.

I have seen small and big Cylon's. They have made the proper adjusts as needed to make it work. Cylon Knight is correct.

No progress for about a month now. Been focusing on the storm/flooding that's hitting the west coast this week and last.

Still no further progress. I keep walking by the box of trimmed armor in the garage. The vocoder is calling to me. I probably won't get back to it until spring is solidly here though. Working 6 ten hour days a week right now. Not much rec time.
