I need help identifying this part. it looks to be about an inch long, like a flashlight switch or vacuum cleaner switch. anyone have any ideas?

If "they" say it can't be done, it just means "they" cant do it.

Is it off a model ship or a prop?

It does look small what ever it is, just needs to be found it all. The texturing looks like the new ancient Cylon found on the beach of Earth in the burnt sand.

it is on the top of the armor of the gamorrean guard from star wars. I know I have seen it somewhere just cant remember where.

It might have been a item used for the movie, but looking at the Side Show version it is clearly hand made. Look how much it leans on the top piece, but then it has more of a real look to it that way over a machined piece if it is a off the shelf piece.

What comes to mind to me isn't a switch, but I do see that in that part but is some little piece off a toy. A power switch that is kid friendly.

Hey look at this. I guess the guy that sculpted this didn't even care about the detail. It looks like to me just a pinched off piece of clay.
