Re: Metal mouth grill
Ok
Here is the first pull from the mold, Its a perfect copy of my metal mouth. This is in resin and very light. Gave a quick undercoat and dusting of aluminium paint to show the detail.
Thoughts??

Re: Metal mouth grill
If anyone is interested in one please let me know, $45 US plus shipping
I cant imagine the shipping will be expensive as it is small and light.
regards
Brad

Looks great. I'm definitely interested in one of these. Will you be casting a few in metal at some point?

That is awesome. I made a few casting in High School, but that seems to be a lost art these days. Can you make another sword, and how much? Maybe we can work out a trade? I have a screen used metal grill.

Love the aluminium sword!
So if you're going to offer them here and they won't be too expensive consider me interested as well.

Hey! Yea, I'm interested in a metal sword as well. You might seriously think of starting an interest thread for the sword and the mouth grill. I'm seriously interested in both.

Re: Metal mouth grill
Hi everyone, I can make the swords but don't get a whole bunch of time to play on hobbies as such. With busy family and work life doesn't leave me much time. I can make a couple of swords up over the next couple of weeks and then if anyone is interested I will post them on here. They cost me $120 to make. they would come in a sand cast finish and weigh in at just on 1 kilogram. the one in the pics I havnt polished at present, just have run the sander over it. I have a grille from my cylon suit that I can make a mould of. Its one of the suits from Bentley O'toole. Is this the correct grille? I will make up one and post some pics of the process to show what goes into them. They wouldn't be very costly as it is only a small mould. I am happy to help out anyone its just a time factor for me. I do cast up stuff in bronze aswell but it is quite heavy and works out costly due to that fact. I know its not for the purists but I have just today cast up the handle of a sword in brass and I am going to insert a polished aluminium blade in it just for something to put on display. Cheers Terry

Re: Metal mouth grill
That is a reasonable price for a sword and you can put me on the list for sure.
