Getting closer
OK dying the eyes brown back fired big time. I used a different dye this time over the ones I replaced on the restoration project. I took a photo of that dye type, and remember where I bought it, but can I find that photo. Well at least I know not what to buy this time. Now with that said this Daggit looks starry eyed, and stoned. ......., and yes now I can HEAR YOU. Yes I need to remake the snout.

Re: Getting closer
Thanks Red Eye, but this is being basically held together air. Not much is glue together on it. I have just as much detail work, and time to go on it that might last as long as it has taken so far.

Looking great!
Will the Daggit have a sound system? ... random "barks" etc.?
The big white eyes, looks "cartoonish" - like someone stepped on his tail and he is like .... "YEEEEE-OOOOOUCH!"

Re: Getting closer
I need to paint some red dots as the pulpes, and then some broken blood vessels.
I will try as time, and money allows for some kind of electronic sound system. The remote control unit is a bigger priority.

Thanks for the heads up on this--can't wait to see it in person.

The major clean work in the care of Brian at this time. I have work to do myself, and hope to finish that work over the next two weeks.

Re: Getting closer
Like I told you earlirr--if only I'd made that move to Beale, I'd be helping you with the project.
However, I have no doubt that Muffy will not only be ready for G3, but also look incredible.
I forgot to ask--are you putting a sound chip in him?
If you didn't plan to, there are a few options. Get one of those recording modules from Build-A-Bear, take it home and record the Muffy sounds and insert into an easy access area. The other option in one of the Radio Shack digital recorders. For best results, you need to cut the on-board mic off and splice on a 1/8" male phone jack and record the sounds straight from your computer.
I always prefer that method for best results. If you're worried about the volume--don't.
You can cut off the on-board speaker, again splice on a 1/8" phone jack and plug into a portable amplified speajer--also from Radio Shack. Or, I can build you a small but loud audio amp on a PCB, and install the both boards in a plastic project box.
This is the same amp circuit I build for my laser pistol electronics--very loud!!!
In fact, if used for a guitar practice amp--it will power a 4x12 cabinet...just to give you an idea.
If you want to go that route, just give me a call when you have time or shoot me an email.
I've got the parts on hand and would be happy to contribute to the Muffy build.
