Here I'm posting up info on the "actors" for all the Daggits:
  • Muffit: Played by Peanuts. The dog who portrayed the original living daggit in the scenes on Caprica.
  • Muffit II: Played by a pair of chimpanzees. The main performer was named Evolution. (Nicknames: Eve or Evie), and her understudy was named Doc.
  • Daggit in stage show: Played by a chimpanzee named Livingston.
There is a post card of him too that reads: "Livingston appears as Daggit in Ray Berwick's Animal Show." ... and you see him eating some ice cream with the costume's head off next to a pic in full costume beside Ray Berwick - who is holding the R/C controller for the head's servos.
  • Daggits in G1980: Unknown "actors." (Presumable one might be Evie?)
  • On long takes that did not require movement, the production crew did the "acting" via an articulated form inside the empty suit.

I saw the Stage Show at Universal once. All I remember is that after they pulled Muffit's head off and exposed the chimp, I was very confused. :wtf:

I saw the animal show only once when the Daggit was in the show, but as a normal thing the chimp wasn't in a good enough mood to preform that day.

Ahhhh yeah. Back when universal was cool to go to. Not lame like it is now. All rides and no Hollywood. At least I have my memories. :)

I really got a kick out of reading this topic.
Animals can be trained to do amazing things.
I remember the chimp who played Muffit II.
