Video demo on servo horn in the ear

Post by GoldCylon » Thu Apr 28, 2011 5:41 pm

I am trying to stay one step ahead of the confusion on the servo horn mount. I made this short video showing how the servo would sit. I currently don't have a servo, but I bought the horns to a Futaba servo. I want to use Futaba brand since that is what the originals used also. Mounting the ear on to the horn will come at a later date as progress is made.

The Futaba servos from the 70s remained for the most part unchanged until the early 90s.

I don't recall much detail on what the servo looked like but I did see a unit in eBay just today from the 90's that seem to me had the same look and same connector.

Nice work indeed!

By the way: Has the Daggit costume itself showed up by now?

Great tutorial. I can visualize the ear sitting on there and turning. What size of aerator is that? (..did you say and I missed it?)

I am not sure they were unboxed, and not packaged at all. A wild guess is 3/4 inch, but I am sure bigger would work just fine also since I am just guessing the size 100%.
