DragonCon anyone?
Just checking to see if anyone had any plans to attend DC?
Sorry I have not posted in a while ..... have been creating yet another suit to infiltrate the 501st. Darth Revan.
They have actually let me troop with them as a "CYLON"! Usually this is not accepted but given the beauty of the chrome ..... how could they resisit?

I've been to Dragon Con every year since 2001. It's my favorite costume event of the year. I'll be there again this year. Likely not with the Cylon though. This would have been my first year wearing it there, but I messed up the surface of the face of the helmet and had to cover the entire front of the face with chrome tape to match it up to itself. Now it's too ghetto to show off at Dragon Con.

Oh yeah, lots of fun. It's my favorite costuming thing I do all year. My wife and I got to debut a new "couple costume" this year. Sometimes we do costumes that go together, but she actually owns more costumes than I do so we do plenty of our own things. Here's our newest ones..... may I present Mr. Stark and his personal assistant, Virginia "Pepper" Potts.

Yeah, and I literally got it like 3 weeks before Dragon Con, so I had to bust butt to order a chest light (guy sells them all the time on Ebay), figure out how to make the eyes light up (youtube), cut out all the fingers and attach to gloves, size everything to me, etc. I cut out the cheeks and put speaker grill inside them for ventillation (idea from RPF) and widened the eye holes to make it look more like the movie helmet. I used my platform boots from my Jason Voorhees costume and didn't have to do any leg trimming because of it.GoldCylon wrote:You own a Iron man costume? Is that a TMP piece?
I got it off a guy on the RPF so I paid about 50% of the monster price TMP normally charges for these things. 8)
Here's a nice picture I found last night on Flickr:
