At WonderCon over the past weekend the Blood and Chrome trailer was released. Today it made its way to YouTube.

Following Battlestar Wiki's and Galacticabbs.com's lead - to keep BYC.net in NBC/Universal's good graces - the "illegally released trailer" posting has been removed from By Your Command.net's forum. It may have been a WonderCon exclusive, not meant to leak to the web. I don't know... I just want us evil Cylons to better safe than sorry.

Below is what Battlestar Wiki's admin wrote:

Looks NICE. Love the classic type Raiders and Basestar. Not too sure about the Centurions themselves yet. They seem to be a new type - between Caprica and nuBSG's Centurions.... have to check it out! Plenty of ACTION that's for sure.

I updated the first post... for now it seems the trailer is not meant for public release.
It COULD BE - who really knows this stuff - but better safe than sorry I think!
No one wants a studio trying to sue them / this site!

If the entire "illegal leak" is bunk, we'll repost the video.
Otherwise it is still on YouTube if you want to search for / view it (<HINT). Let their lawyers deal with it.

The video is now down, but I have to say this was one of the longest threats of being removed that I have heard of. The rumors were running amuck 12 hours ago when I posted the video link. I believe Universal sent out the threat before filing with YouTube to remove it. I have seen videos come down with in 20 minutes after a complaint was filed. I tried to download the video, but darn this new Apple just doesn't comply with PC commands. One more reason I miss my PC. Blah...So the video will be released again in a official Universal fashion. Till then lets just say it was a awesome video teaser. A lot of action.

It's everywhere online. I did a search for leaks that led me to to scifi channel.

There must be a temporary memory bank. I can still watch it because it was the last one I viewed on my phone from my YouTube history.

Looks like it's official. B&C will not be a TV series, but may yet still be a web/digital series. Although I don't know how costs would be less being online than for TV. And, I can't see how a web-only showing in the future would pull as much advertising revenue as full-blown TV. I'm thinking this project is DOA, but we will get to see the Pilot "at a future date". Still no word on when that will be.

Also, apparently the trailer was not meant for official wide-spread release, which is why it was taken down. This would explain the multiple uses of the same footage and the (IMHO) abysmal cover of Immigrant Song. Those things aside, I really like what I've seen so far and am discouraged that a new series will likely never see the light of day.
