Talking with Tom DeSanto

Now some of you know I was lucky enough last weekend to meet Tom DeSanto last weekend at the Stu Phillips concert he conducted as a guess conductor along with Bear McCreary. Besides excite to just see him from a short distance I approached him, and he was very open to conversation about the 2001 Galactica attempt, and his up coming endeavor. So of the things he mentioned are off the record about his up coming vision of Galactica, but the thing I spoke with him 1st was the 2001 production. After I asked if any this would be brought back, and he said for a few reasons this time has pasted, and he can no longer use that compiled trunk of data he has. One thing Tom did say that he was going to produce a book to release in print this information. I for one can't wait to see this come to light of this book. He did mention that the current production of the show is moving slow, very slow, and it is due to conflicts of time with other current projects, and also Bryan Singers time also. An other source mentioned to me a bit later than don't expect the new movie to be ready till 2012, just to make it fair with the two comments from the source, and Tom and hearing the time line laid out I agree that 2012 looks like the release date. I would love to explore talking about these awesome items Tom spoke with me about his plan for the 2011/2012 release, but these are things Tom will have to talk about on his time frame. No private information about this conversation will be released by me, but thanks for the questions to come anyway. I will take questions about the 2001 production if I can answer I will.

Yes Tom, and Brian are on the job, but it sounds like a very slow go at it since both are working on other projects at this time. Maybe as late as 2012 for the release. Uni jumped the gun in making the announcement the project had been signed to make the BSG movie.
