Cool! I dig it. Sort of old Batman mobile inspired.

I was told the guy that built this model liked Robocop, and thought this would be more like what he had in mind that Robocop should drive, also a little bit look a like of Robocop. It does seem to have a Bat Mobile type of theme look to it.

Good call GoldCylon - Yes, a new movie IS in the works: here is the info I found on SciFi.com's SciFi Wire:

12:00 AM, 25-JULY-08

Aronofsky Signed For RoboCop

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures announced that it has signed Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain) to direct and David Self to write a new installment for its RoboCop franchise. The announcement confirms news first reported on Bloody-Disgusting.com.

Aronofsky and Self (Road to Perdition) signed on to a project that is fast-tracked for release in 2010.

Phoenix Pictures' Mike Medavoy, Arnold Messer, Brad Fischer and David Thwaites will produce RoboCop. Cale Boyter, executive vice president for production at MGM, will oversee the project for the studio.

No story details were announced; Bloody-Disgusting described it as a sequel set in Los Angeles 20 years after the events in the original film.

Here is a link to the web page (may fail after time):

P.S. Spiderman 4 is in early production and TRON 2 was announced at ComicCon!!!

So, okay.... a new RoboCop film... you know they will have to tinker with/update the suit some.

What would you want - or not want to see happen to good ol' Robo?

I liked Robocop the way he was,
Though he could do with a sweeping blue eye

I just got RoboCop on VHS this weekend (free at a yard sale - can't complain!). I'll have fun re-watching it and keeping an eye on the suit's detail.
