OK if recall I don't Mattel has done a release of anything Galactica since the late 70's or early 80's, but here it is.

Y'know, I gotta laugh - to this day, the legacy and influence of the original Revellogram model of the Raider is still evident. If you look closely in each of the two front "scoop" areas on the underside, you'll see a small circle that was never on the original studio filming miniature. It's a left over "feature" from the original Revell model where rubber band powered torpedoes fired out the front. I think they were removed from later re-releases of the model, but the holes still stayed (the Viper had a single one in the front nose scoop) and plague later models like this one to this day! You can even see them in Jackill's old schematics from many years ago.
I may appear unoccupied to you, but at the molecular level, I'm really quite busy.

Interesting.

Wish they would release the vintage 3 3/4" action figure line as commemorative edition (with updated colors) as well...

Awesome! Hopefully there's a series of these coming to retail and this "chrome" version is just for SDCC. At 1:64 what would this measure? 5" or so?
