OK I missed the local broadcast time slot, but I did see the repeat maybe. What I saw was the DVD movie release. Was what they aired, or was an other episode that kicked off the series that I missed.

They showed the "DVD" again... yes. It was a bit different, a few altered backgrounds a dropped line or two and "cleaned" up of nudity for broadcasting... this Friday, Jan 29 will be a new never seen show.

The DVD is really episode #1 in Caprica, so, it only makes sense that they would show it at the start. At first I was all ticked that they did, but I was glad at the end as my wife was in the room on her computer and had to "watch" it. Maybe I can talk her into watching the second, third, fourth... etc. episodes

I flipped the TV on last night as I was heading to bed, and there it was again, so I set the timer, and drifted off to sleep watching it aging. Thanks for the heads up on the real new show starting also.

Loved this one. Definitely thought it started off with a bang.

Anyone notice the tune Greystone was playing on his piano? It was the quiet intro instrumental from TOS that's played behind Patrick Macnee's/Count Iblis/Imperious Leader's "Life here began out there" monologue. Fantastic TOS homage!
I may appear unoccupied to you, but at the molecular level, I'm really quite busy.

Yea, seems the Writters and Producers are sneaking in all kinds of rerences to BSG.

Like that in it sends a nod and has a connection to the other shows.

<S>! To the CAP CREW for that.

Ack I missed the 1st run time slot last week. I had to watch the rerun of it later on. My cable company used to run the East Coast time slot, and after 8 years having a earlier feed they changed it up to West Coast, and I had to wait, well at least I felt like i missed it, just had to add an other 3 hours onto the show time.
Yes I did notice the piano clip, or at least the homage being paid. I was told by one of the inside guys (from the 2003 BSG) they just love the TOS, and they try to put what ever they could get away with sneaked into the show paying homage to the original. I was told of a couple of sneaky things, and I agreed then yes these guys are true TOS fans. My respect level really went up for these guys, as they still drop things in now and then, with out steeling from the show. :cylon:

I must admit I did have my doubts about Caprica when it first aired on uk tv, but having given it a chance I now have to say....... I'm glad I did, the storylines are going from strength to strength, gritty, dark, and definately haunting in parts!! The characters hold their own, are believable and truely get into the part, where as some new tv shows based on old shows lack the story, imagination or tact to draw the viewing audience into the world that is being portayed in front of them, this one certainly hits the mark for me! A refreshing change to some of the mindless drivel that that is being shown under the genre of Sci FI!!
