A Rave for Google!

If you've not heard of Google Fiber then you probably don't live in my area or Austin, TX. It is Gigabit internet. Certain areas in the Kansas City metro could get it starting last year. Finally it has moved into my area and I am all signed up and waiting for my new internet of SUPER SPEED!

Here is a chart and I've added a Cylon head - so it is PERFECT! lol



This is so cool for me as I have ZERO DVR, HD, and all that fancy stuff...
I have .2 to 1.5 mb internet speed (that is POINT TWO - takes 20 min to watch 5 min of a show on Netflix due to stalls and stutters).

Excited for it to be installed, then I can admin the best Cylon Forum at crazy super fast speeds... I could download our entire Gallery in no time, Red Eye. Finally a FULL back up! OH - and I'll save money too vs. my current ISP and TV company - whooo wheee

Forget the Easter Bunny, I'm waiting for the Fiber Bunny!

Oh yeah now that is way cool. I remember I was one of the very first to have fiberoptics run to my house back in 2001. It was very common in commercial areas, but not a single company had taken the brave step into residential till Win First did. The big telecom crash a few years later crushed them, and they were bought up by a small time local phone company called Roseville Telephone that then became Surewest. They offered T1 if I recall, but if I recall the speed test was much higher. Congrats of getting your 5 min video in 5 minutes
