Here, I lightly sanded the surface of the middle core, then traced out the areas covered by other parts, using the template (included with the kit). It has the location for the FO trunks. The outline represents the limit of greeblie placement.

So I added the greeblies, masked and painted, as well as sprayed the insides black, to prevent any light leaks (leaving a clean 3mm rim on the inside, for fusing of the alignment rings later on).

It has been rather pedantic so far, but it's actually about to get exciting. Thanks for looking.

Tonight's progress. Got the lower and middle cores on and the walls of the bottom half as well. The walls are laser cut with the FO holes to align with the casts. The black is sexy, eh?

It really takes shape now!
